The Story
Hi! I'm Martin Bokkenheuser, the person behind PixiConvert. I run BokkConsult ApS in Denmark.
Like most people who work with images, I got tired of the same old frustrations: upload limits, watermarks on free tiers, mandatory sign-ups, slow servers, and that nagging feeling that my images were being stored somewhere I didn't agree to.
The thing is — resizing, compressing, and converting images isn't rocket science. Your browser can already do it. So why are we uploading our files to random servers and paying for something that should be free?
That's why I built PixiConvert. No limits, no sign-up, no upload. Everything happens right in your browser.
Why It's Free
I use open-source and free tools every single day. They make my life easier, and someone out there built them without asking for anything in return. I wanted to give something back.
PixiConvert is my way of contributing. It costs almost nothing to run (since your browser does all the heavy lifting), and it makes me happy knowing it saves people time and hassle.
No Nonsense, No Tricks
There are no cookies. No tracking pixels. No ads. No "premium tier" waiting around the corner.
The only thing we count is anonymous, cookie-free visits and the number of images processed — just so we can see that people are actually using this thing. That's it. We don't know who you are or what images you're processing. And we like it that way.
